Ōme began in 1985 as a beloved gourmet market and café, known for fresh ingredients, long lunch lines, and even longer-lasting impressions. As requests for corporate and social catering poured in, we evolved into one of the Tri-State area’s premier full-service catering and event experience companies.

Since then, we’ve served an extraordinary range of clients—from Fortune 500 companies to families hosting life’s most meaningful celebrations. What’s never changed is our belief that hospitality is both a craft and a calling. Rooted in decades of culinary excellence, hospitality expertise, and thoughtful event design, our leadership team brings vision and heart to every celebration.
Lana Mansfield
Executive Chef

Lana brings nearly 20 years of fine dining catering experience to Ōme Caterers. A Hudson Valley native, she blends thoughtfully crafted menus with seamless execution, drawing inspiration from the region’s local bounty. Previously Senior Events Sous Chef at a premier NYC Catering Company, she led events ranging from intimate gatherings to galas for 2,000 guests. Outside of the kitchen, she enjoys time outdoors with her two children and is training for her first half marathon.
John Nugent
Director of Sales & Event Planning
John is a seasoned hospitality professional with nearly 20 years in catering, building on an early career in retail and customer service. His path has spanned roles from Event Coordinator and Catering Manager to Catering Director at major NYC catering companys, where he also pioneered virtual events during the pandemic. Known for his enthusiasm and client-first approach, John thrives on creating seamless, memorable experiences. A proud Queens native, he now lives in New Jersey with his wife, daughter, and three dogs.
